Production Welder

The hourly rate for this position is $$28-$33 per hour.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

The hours for this position are Mon-Thurs 4 pm - 2:30 am

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Production Welder (M04) for our Airdrie facility.

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for MIG welding and Spot-welding fabrication to assemble enclosures and frames and/or other projects, as required, for Airdrie’s product lines.

In this function you will:
• Mark orders as started or complete on DMM.
• Fabricate assemblies from component parts.
• Inspect welding equipment to ensure it is safe and operable condition, including inventory of supplies and spare parts.
• Maintain daily schedule for welding work. 
• Control the quality of the welds (according to the drawings and quality standards).
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects applied to the area.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High school diploma.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge/experience with hand and power tools. 
• Welding experience.

Position Success Criteria:
• Mechanical aptitude. 
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
