Job Responsibility:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, Production General Labour plays a key role in a collaborative Team dedicated to building and repairing innovative Weatherhaven shelters and shelter systems. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, including assembling metal components and supporting the construction of fabric structures. If you enjoy working with your hands, being part of a close-knit Team and contributing to high-quality, mission-ready products, this role is for you!
Key Functions & Duties
· Assist in building or setting up products
· Tooled or non-tooled assembly processes
· Fold, package and kit components
· Ability to follow and adhere to manufacturing instructions and processes
· Ability to learn, use, and operate safely, tools needed to assemble products
· Ensure that manufactured products meet Weatherhaven's quality and workmanship standards
· Perform other duties as assigned

- Reporting hazards/unsafe working conditions
- Following all PPE/Safe Work instructions
- Understand responsibilities related to Provincial legislation

- Understand how tasks/activities impact the environment

Qualifications and Skills
· Good attention to details
· Ability to use measuring tools (metric and imperial systems)
· Easy to work with and brings a positive vibe to the Team, comfortable working independently or alongside others
· Physical ability to perform manual labour, including lifting up to 50lbs, bending, crouching and standing for extended periods.
· Basic mechanical work experience an asset
· Must be safety conscious and follow all safety procedures
· Possess strong interpersonal skills
