Financial Accounting Teaching Assistant

University of Ottawa

Teach Financial Accounting in person at Main Campus as a Teaching Assistant, applying accounting knowledge, grading accuracy, and student support skills.

The University of Ottawa seeks Teaching Assistants for ADM1340 during the 2027 Winter Semester. The work includes lab demonstration, office hours, grading, and exam proctoring. Eight positions provide 63 total hours from January 4 through April 30, 2027, in English.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate Financial Accounting labs for enrolled students
Hold office hours and answer student questions
Grade midterms and part of final examinations
Proctor examinations according to course requirements
Provide clear, structured feedback using grading rubrics

Requirements:

Minimum C.G.P.A. of 7.0
Minimum A- in ADM2340, ADM1340, or equivalent
Strong understanding of fundamental accounting concepts
Accurate accounting problem-solving and detailed grading ability
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently

Support ADM1340 students through lab demonstration, grading, office hours, and proctoring at the University of Ottawa.
