Backend Developer / Software Engineer

Affirm

Become a vital part of affirm's Online Storage team as a Backend Software Engineer. This fully remote role focuses on enhancing Cache Services with Redis and Valkey while automating workflows. You will have the privilege of working within affirm's Data and Storage Services team, managing OLTP and OLAP systems. As a Software Engineer II, you'll build and scale essential cache infrastructure, enhancing self-service capabilities for vital data storage needs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure timely project delivery and thoughtful technical decision-making. Define SLOs and monitor production fleet performance

2+ years in software engineering
Proficiency in Python or Kotlin
Experience with distributed systems like AWS and MySQL
