Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace Campus, invites applications for a term full-time Student Recruitment Coordinator commencing May 28, 2024 and ending February 14, 2025 (subject to a leave). We are seeking a passionate individual who wants to join us in our goal to become the college of choice for experiential, place-based learning allowing students to learn both in the classroom and in the spectacular outdoor spaces that are so unique to this part of Canada. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff, Level 13: $2,667.70 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefits plan.

Duties: The Recruitment Coordinator will have a meaningful influence on students and community members to attract perspective students to CMTN. This position will coordinate CMTN's Strategic Recruitment Plan, and provide advice and recommendations to the Director on all matters related to student recruitment. This position will involve travel within the region and evening and weekend work.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Analyze and interpret data on student trends to guide short and long-term planning
• Promote and provide information to perspective students regarding CMTN programming
• Lead the delivery, execution, and evaluation of student engagement activities (i.e.: college tours, workshops)
• Maintain effective working relationships with local First Nations, faculty, industry, and community partners
• Represent CMTN at the Post-Secondary Institutes of BC tours, education, and career fairs
• Other related duties of similar scope and complexity as assigned

Qualifications

A minimum of a diploma or undergraduate degree (preferably in Education, Communications or Marketing) along with 3 years of directly related experience in the areas of recruitment, marketing, or communications.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

• Knowledge of Colleague, Outlook, MS Office and social media platforms
• Extensive knowledge of CMTN policies, procedures, and operations
• Ability to interpret data to drive strategic recruitment practices
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience providing positive client service to culturally/ethnically diverse people
• Demonstrated ability to speak effectively to groups
• Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging and dynamic presentations
• Detail-oriented with the ability to determine priorities and be self-directed
• Work efficiently under pressure of deadlines despite interruptions
• Familiarity with the Truth and Reconciliation call to action, particularly as they relate to the education sector
