Nanny Wanted - Seeking Professional Nanny And House Manager For Two Kids In Ottawa

Our family is seeking a reliable full-time nanny to join our household starting August 1 2025. The position is live-out and offers a competitive hourly rate of $25, or more if you have an ECE diploma, or have a lot of experience with very positive recommendations, or have special skills that you are keen to teach our children (such as a foreign language or music). Our family is looking for someone who is trustworthy, dependable, and dedicated to providing a nurturing and safe environment for our children. We also need someone who is flexible to work weekends as we do shift work and often work 2 weekends per month. You may also need to work an evening or rare overnight. A flexible schedule is key! We will offer at least 35-50 hours of childcare per week depending on how busy we are. The majority of shifts are between 8 and 10 hours. We will give you your schedule at least 4 weeks in advance, if not earlier. We are also open to part-time help with occasional babysitting to supplement our childcare needs, if you feel that would better suit your availability and would love to chat more about it! As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing childcare and engaging activities for our little ones - a daughter age 2 and a son age 5, while keeping them safe. During the week, both children will be in school. We will need you to be able to do pick up and drop off from school and from activities. Preferably you would provide your own vehicle. If you provide your own care, all driving (other than commuting) will be reimbursed at $0.72/km for the first 5000km, then $0.66/km (at the recommended CRA rate). Additionally, we require meal preparation, laundry, and house keeping and cleaning while children are in school during the week. We always try to put our children to bed ourselves but it depends on our working hours. On weekends, there will be more opportunities to care for the children directly and spend time with them. You must have an up to date CPR and first aid certificate, driver's abstract, and criminal record and vulnerable sector screening check.
