Resident Caretaker

Your new role  

In this role, you will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. You will be overseeing ~250 units across two rental buildings. You will be working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager, and Property Administrator. Once you pass your probation, this will be a live-in role. You will be a part of a team of Caretakers that oversee the entirety of the portfolio. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Complete service requests, supervise contractors, conduct minor repairs, and handle emergency maintenance.
• Conduct regular audits, recommend preventative measures, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
• Oversee emergency response tests, establish safety procedures, and work on call as scheduled.
• Perform move-in and move-out inspections, report deficiencies, and understand legal obligations related to tenant agreements.
• Respond to maintenance requests, schedule work, and collaborate with Property Leasing Administrators.
• Provide exceptional customer service and handle tenant inquiries professionally.
• Completes caretaker checklist prior to move in and reports any deficiencies, move out inspection reports and notify property management team.

What you'll need to succeed  

• 3+ years maintenance experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with / knowledge of RTA and lease agreements 
• Ability to work on call (rotation-based schedule) and be available for emergencies.

• Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
