OCCASIONAL Housecleaning and Household Helper Needed for Special Projects $35/hour | Weekdays | References required 6 to 8 hours/day, as needed We are looking for a positive, energetic, hard-working household helper for occasional cleaning and organizing in our executive home near 15th Street and Ottawa Avenue in West Vancouver. Flexible weekdays and times. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, detail-oriented, practical, and willing to “roll up their sleeves.” If you take pride in your work and love to care for beautiful homes, this is the job for you. We are a two-person family and are looking for someone who has experience cleaning and maintaining an executive or well-maintained private home. You must be thorough, careful, and able to work around fine furnishings, flooring, fixtures, counters, cupboards, sinks, furniture, and outdoor surfaces. These require proper cleaning products and methods. You must be able to take direction, remember how tasks should be done, and ask questions if you are unsure. We are looking for someone conscientious who does not guess when working with delicate finishes or unfamiliar materials. Tasks may include detailed cleaning, organizing, packing and carrying boxes, cleaning outdoor areas, and helping with occasional household projects. On occasion, we may ask for help preparing for and cleaning up after dinner parties. We may also need help on Christmas Eve day for a large family party every other year. Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to focus on your work is essential. We ask that you do not use your phone during working hours unless the communication is necessary or urgent. This is a quiet, peaceful, and picturesque working environment. This role may suit someone who runs their own household well and would like to earn extra income doing varied housecleaning, organizing, and light outdoor cleaning work.
