Hardware Engineering Co-op

SCIEX seeks a hardware engineering co-op student to support mass spectrometer product design and development. Working within the Hardware Development team in Vaughan, Ontario, the successful candidate will collaborate across disciplines on engineering analysis, system requirements definition, and product qualification.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams on mass spectrometer system product development
- Document customer needs, define system requirements, and develop verification and testing protocols
- Perform thermal, noise, reliability, and cost analysis; support design iteration and qualification testing
- Support identification and implementation of AI automation in engineering workflows
- Present engineering results and status updates in individual and group settings
Requirements
- Pursuing bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3.0 GPA within curriculum
- Previous co-op experience in engineering function (preferred)
- Medical device or product development experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks (preferred)
