Electrical Engineering Technologist

SCIEX, a Danaher operating company, seeks an Electrical Engineering Technologist to support hardware development in research and diagnostics. The role involves collaborating with electrical engineers on component evaluation, prototype assembly, and testing of electronics modules in an on-site position in Concord, Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate electronic component suitability and availability with Electrical Designers and procurement
- Generate component BOM lists and prepare electronics kits for rapid prototyping with contract manufacturers
- Maintain laboratory stock inventory, equipment registration, organization, and calibration
- Develop and operate engineering-grade test fixtures under Electrical Designer supervision
- Test, debug, and repair electrical modules and circuits during hardware qualification
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma or equivalent qualification
- Strong hands-on experience in research-grade or rapid-prototyping environments
- Proficiency in cable harness assembly and SMD/through-hole soldering
- Proficiency with electrical development tools: multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators
- Knowledge of building and operating custom electronics test setups
- Eligible for or member of certified engineering technologist association (e.g., OACETT) – preferred
- Experience with Electrical and Mechanical CAD software – preferred
Compensation: $81,500–$89,000 CAD base, plus eligible bonus/incentive pay
