Our client is a leader in sustainable marine transportation dedicated to delivering bulk liquid cargo across key shipping routes that is seeking a qualified and safety-oriented Tanker Captain to join their tanker operations. Our client recognizes that their maritime crew is the backbone of their operations and the driving force behind their ongoing industry leadership. The Captain serves as the company's management representative aboard the vessel, tasked with supporting and protecting the best interests of the organization across all operational areas. As a non-unionized management leader, the Captain holds overriding authority and responsibility regarding vessel safety and pollution prevention. Operations must strictly align with the Canada Shipping Act and Regulations, Canada Labour Code, company policies, the ISM Code, and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Standards.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of the crew, contractors, vessel, and cargo at all times.
- Protect the marine environment by exercising overriding authority on decisions related to safety and pollution prevention.
- Protect the commercial interests of the owner during vessel operations.
- Execute duties in full compliance with the Canada Shipping Act and Regulations, Canada Labour Code, and organizational policies.
- Maintain and fulfill company requirements under the ISM Code and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Standards.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as a Captain on tanker vessels.
- Demonstrated experience with Safety Management Systems.
- Excellent leadership capabilities.
- Working-level proficiency in the English language.
