Freelance Sitecore Developer — Contract Role
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Sitecore Developer to support the maintenance of a client website which uses the Sitecore Experience Platform (XP/XM). This is a contract-based role ideal for a self‑driven developer with robust Sitecore expertise and experience delivering scalable, headless CMS solutions.
The consultant will work closely with internal stakeholders, designers, and our client development teams to develop solutions for the localized versions of the client pages.
Scope of Work
- Sitecore Development
- Troubleshoot and customize Sitecore components, templates, layouts, and rendering variants.
- Implement and maintain Sitecore XP/XM solutions following Helix and Sitecore best practices.
- Integration & Platform Support
- Integrate Sitecore with third‑party systems, APIs, CRMs, and marketing platforms.
- Support Sitecore database management across Core, Master, and Web environments.
- Assist with deployments, serialization, and CI/CD workflows.
- Optimization & Quality Assurance
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Conduct testing, debugging, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to development standards and coding best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Expertise
- Solid experience with:
- Sitecore XP/XM
- SXA
- JSS / Headless implementations
- XM Cloud (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in:
- .NET / .NET Core
- C#
- ASP.NET MVC
- REST APIs
- Frontend development experience with:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue
- Solid experience with:
- DevOps & Platform Knowledge
- Understanding of Sitecore architecture and serialization tools.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud-based deployments.
- Familiarity with Azure-hosted Sitecore environments preferred.
- Freelance / Consulting Expectations
- Ability to work independently and manage deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile or rapid‑paced project environments.
- Comfortable collaborating remotely across distributed teams and time zones.
