Job Description

Joining us means you will be part of an extraordinary and exciting company! You’re a key team player reporting to the Manager and working closely with the restaurant leadership team. As a Supervisor, you are an important leader on the floor and play a hands-on role in creating an exceptional guest experience. You’ll bring professional, enthusiastic leadership each day, support and develop our team, and help ensure our restaurant operates to O&B standards.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn and apply our sought-after systems and procedures while working closely with both FOH and BOH teams. You’ll lead by example, create an environment where our team can thrive, and help set our restaurant apart while maintaining a warm, welcoming and rave-worthy guest experience!

THE DAY TO DAY:

• Ensure a guest-first approach is being demonstrated by all team members
• Lead by example and consistently demonstrate O&B values, standards, and points of detail
• Support the Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and/or assigned outlet
• Regularly monitor and maintain O&B points of technical service and points of detail
• Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, team members, and restaurant leadership
• Create memorable guest experiences by anticipating guest needs, responding to feedback, and resolving service concerns with professionalism
• Support the team in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food and beverage
• Assist with pre-shift briefings and ensure the team is prepared for each service, event, or function
• Monitor service throughout the shift and provide coaching, direction, and support to team members as required
• Support the Manager in ensuring appropriate staffing levels and efficient deployment of team members throughout service
• Follow and reinforce bar, beverage, wine, cash, and other control procedures
• Ensure all service and operational procedures are being followed consistently
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
• Use strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills to address team and guest concerns appropriately
• Escalate employee performance, attendance, guest, or operational concerns to the Manager when appropriate
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of required operational paperwork and documentation
• Monitor the restaurant during service to ensure cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall presentation meet O&B standards
• Assist in maintaining Health & Safety standards and ensure team members are following applicable policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with both FOH and BOH teams to ensure a smooth and successful service
• Actively seek opportunities to improve service, team productivity, and the overall guest experience
• Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment
• Support the Manager and leadership team in executing restaurant initiatives, promotions, and company programs
• Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics, and professionalism at all times
• Take every opportunity to promote the restaurant and O&B
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service leadership role
• Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service, food, beverage, and wine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks during service
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining O&B standards
• Ability to work collaboratively with both FOH and BOH teams
• Demonstrates high personal integrity, professionalism, and business ethics
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Smart Serve certification required
• Food Handler certification is an asset
• A genuine passion for O&B and a desire to grow within the organization
