Wine Bar Server

Job Responsibility:

Clos de la Oyster Barre, a pop-up by Teatro Group that has appeared in a few different venues over the past two years but has found a permanent home in Vendome Block, a historical Sunnyside building built in 1912. While the space may be historical, the vibes are not. Expect a beautiful raw bar with a broad array of fresh seafood and seasonal & imaginative small plates. The wine list draws from Teatro's legendary bank vault cellar and is deep in Champagne and Chardonnay to pair with the cuisine. All this is matched by a playful atmosphere of pumping hip-hop illuminated by candlelight. Find Clos de la Oyster Barre in Vendome Block every Thursday to Sunday evenings.

What you will do as a Server

• Always be aware of and practice excellent customer service, assisting the guest in any way that does not adversely affect other customers.
• Take food and beverage orders from customers and ensure these are given to the appropriate person to execute (i.e. kitchen staff, bartender, etc.).
• Maintain familiarity with the composition of all menu items
• Set tables according to company policy, ensuring all items used are clean, undamaged and in good repair.
• Ensure that customers are correctly charged, present the bill and take payment from the customer, in accordance with the procedures of the establishment.
• Attend to customer complaints satisfactorily, and maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude.

What are the duties to perform:

• 2-3 years of serving experience
• Must be able to work 4 days/week - Thursday to Sunday from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm
• Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and a consistent display of professionalism.
• Highly effective teamwork skills, and attention to detail in all work areas.
