Brand Ambassador / Event Activation Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking energetic, outgoing, and family-friendly Brand Ambassadors to support an exciting  Walmart store opening event  in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This large-scale community activation is expected to welcome approximately 1,000 attendees per day and will feature interactive games, sampling, photo opportunities, and family-friendly activities.

Job Type:  Part-time, Contract

Location:  Fort McMurray, Alberta

Event Dates:  Thursday, October 22 – Sunday, October 25, 2026

Shift Times:  Approximate and subject to change based on final event requirements. Flexibility is required, including potential split shifts on Thursday and Friday.

Event Activations:

• Sparkling Water Truck
• Plinko Activation
• Baked Goods Sampling
• Photo Op Wall
• Face Painting
• Balloon Artist
• 6 Trick-or-Treat Stations (3 indoor and 3 outdoor)

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with shoppers, children, and families in a friendly, energetic, and professional manner.
• Facilitate Plinko and distribute prizes while creating a fun guest experience.
• Support sampling activities and distribute products following event guidelines.
• Assist at Trick-or-Treat stations and help manage guest flow.
• Support the Photo Op, Face Painting, Balloon Artist, and Sparkling Water Truck activations as needed.
• Help with event setup, cleanup, and maintaining clean and organized activation areas.
• Be prepared to work both indoor and outdoor activations and assist across multiple stations during busy periods.
• Follow direction from the Team Lead / Field Supervisor and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

• Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with children and families.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Previous experiential, retail, grocery, sampling, or event experience is an asset.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors in October weather conditions.
• Must have reliable transportation to the event location.
• Flexible availability, as shift times may change based on operational requirements.
