DIETARY AIDE (25-0000437) Bargaining Unit: UNIFOR HOSPITAL Status: TEMPORARY Full Time Department: Patient Food Services Site: St. Joseph's Hospital Shifts: Days/Evenings including weekends Rate of Pay: $25.75 - $26.10 per hour Positions Available: 1 Available Qualifications: - Must possess and maintain a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Must understand the basics of food preparation, handling and storage
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years food service experience relative to an institutional kitchen
- Cafeteria and catering experience would be an asset
- Understanding of therapeutic diets and menus
- Must be in good physical condition and must be able to lift up to 15 kg (30 pounds)
- Must have an understanding of Occupational Health and Safety, HACCP
- Must be able to work comfortably in a team environment
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to adequately read and write English
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
