Overview
As an Open Liberty Architect, you will design and lead the development of enterprise-grade applications using cutting-edge open-source technologies. You’ll guide modernization efforts from traditional WebSphere environments to modern cloud-native microservices, ultimately helping the bank stay ahead in a competitive and rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Salary: $110K - 130K
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise applications leveraging Open Liberty and WebSphere Liberty.
- Lead application modernization and migration programs from WebSphere Application Server (WAS) to Open Liberty.
- Develop cloud-native microservices with Java, Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, and Open Liberty.
- Define scalable, secure, and reliable application architectures, including deployment strategies and integration patterns.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and promote DevOps best practices across teams.
- Design solutions optimized for cloud platforms, ensuring high availability and security.
- Collaborate with diverse teams—including business stakeholders, developers, infrastructure, and security—to deliver seamless solutions.
- Conduct architecture reviews, provide technical leadership, and foster best practices among development teams.
- Troubleshoot application performance issues and optimize environments for efficiency.
- Create architecture documentation, technical standards, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven experience designing and architecting enterprise applications with Open Liberty and WebSphere Liberty.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Jakarta EE.
- Hands-on experience leading application modernization and migration projects.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to influence technical standards.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with deployment strategies on cloud platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting performance bottlenecks and tuning systems.
