Safety Engineer for Advanced Vehicle Systems

Join an innovative team in Montreal as a Safety Engineer for Advanced Vehicle systems. Your expertise in functional safety will enhance the design and validation of critical automotive features. We are looking for a full-time Safety Engineer who will focus on ensuring safety compliance and system robustness. With a background in automotive systems, you will conduct functional safety analyses and support design verification. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate safety requirements and mitigate potential failure modes effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional safety analyses like FMEA, STPA, and SOTIF
- Support system design verification and validation activities
- Collaborate with software and electrical teams for integration
- Develop and maintain safety documentation and hazard analyses
- Identify and mitigate failure modes in vehicle components
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
- Experience in functional safety, ISO 26262, or ISO 21448
- Familiar with ADAS and advanced vehicle subsystems
- Practical knowledge of safety analysis methods
- Strong communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
