Voyago is now hiring Part-Time School Bus Drivers for the 2026/2027 school year, and we’re looking for friendly faces ready to help keep students moving safely across the city! ⚠️ WARNING!!! This position may result in heartwarming moments and an impressive collection of kid-approved jokes.
We are currently seeking Part-Time Drivers to fill vacancies and support future route opportunities.
Your role:
- Safely transport students within your community to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day
- Prioritize student safety at all times, including during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle
- Conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assisting with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well kept, professional vehicle
- Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the safe operation of the vehicle
- Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations
- Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers
Requirements
Your profile
- You are safety focused
- You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license for at least 1 year
- If you don’t currently hold a B or E Class licence, Voyago has you covered, full training is provided at no cost to you!
- You are 21 years of age or over
- You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
- You can obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
- You have a sound knowledge of Grey Bruce and surrounding areas
- You have the ability to work independently
- You are available for the required shifts:
- Monday to Friday approximately 6:30am to 9:30am AND 2:30pm to 4:30pm (Start and end times will vary depending on the specific details of each route)
- You possess solid communication skills
- You enjoy being around children of all ages
- You are comfortable driving in all types of weather and road conditions
- You are comfortable driving large vehicles
