We are seeking a versatile Junior Systems Analyst/ Developer for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will take on a hybrid technical engineering, systems analysis, and product delivery capacity, specializing in supporting, enhancing, and maintaining customer-facing digital platforms, mobile applications, and web services.

As a Junior Systems Analyst/ Developer, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, software developers, UX designers, and external vendors. Operating within a hybrid work model in Toronto, you will elicit and translate functional requirements into user stories, design business process flows, maintain CI/CD automated deployment pipelines, and support hands-on application development using .NET, Java, and React. This position demands an adaptable technical professional with strong problem-solving skills who can drive platform enhancements, manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure digital solutions align with accessibility and user-centered design standards.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional business leads, UX designers, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.

Develop detailed user stories, process maps, use cases, business requirements documents (BRDs), and functional specifications.

Contribute to software development, application maintenance, and system bug fixes across .NET, Java, and React application stacks.

Maintain, configure, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing Octopus Deploy and Azure DevOps.

Support the rollout of digital enhancements across public websites, mobile applications, self-service portals, and customer communication channels.

Coordinate and execute testing workflows, including system integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect logging, and release validation.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production support tickets, platform bugs, and API integration issues.

Ensure digital platforms and user interfaces comply with WCAG and AODA digital accessibility standards.

Track dependencies, risks, change requests, and operational issues using Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

Coordinate third-party vendor deliverables and maintain technical runbooks, project documentation, and release readiness guides.

Qualifications
Core Technical & Systems Analysis Requirements
Professional Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or Product Analyst supporting customer-facing digital platforms.

Software Development Stack: Minimum 5+ years of combined experience working with .NET, Java, and React.

CI/CD Pipeline Maintenance: Practical experience with automated deployment toolsets and CI/CD pipelines, such as Octopus Deploy and Azure DevOps.

Requirements Elaboration: Demonstrated experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, eliciting requirements, and creating process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Testing & QA Support: Hands-on experience coordinating testing activities, managing UAT execution, tracking defects, and validating release deployments.

Education: University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Preferred Experience & Technical Assets
Digital CX & Mobile Platforms: Experience supporting mobile applications, self-service platforms, digital analytics (Power BI, Google Analytics), or service design initiatives.

Accessibility & API Knowledge: Familiarity with digital accessibility standards (AODA/WCAG) and working knowledge of RESTful APIs and enterprise system integrations.

Certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Scrum certifications are considered valuable assets.

Soft Skills & Delivery Attributes
Analytical Problem Solving: Strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting capabilities to resolve technical defects and system bottlenecks.
