About The Job: Hi! We are a warm and welcoming family living in the South End of Halifax looking for a trustworthy and caring part time caregiver to support us with our children and do a few errands and house duties. We have two daughters age 9 and age 6. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and passionate about creating a positive environment. If you're experienced, attentive, and love working with families, we would love to hear from you. We are flexible and can work with school schedules. Duties: Childcare Duties: Supervising Children: Ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times. Assisting with Homework: Helping with schoolwork or educational activities, the girls are in French immersion. Bathing and Dressing: Assisting with personal care, dressing, and bathing when necessary. Play and Activities: Organizing indoor and outdoor activities to promote learning and fun when necessary. Transporting Children: Taking children to and from school, extracurricular activities, or appointments (if necessary). Meals - looking for someone who coordinate meals for the girls after school (if necessary) Housekeeping: Cleaning and Tidying: Light cleaning tasks, including sweeping, making beds, keeping common areas tidy. Laundry: Washing, folding, and putting away children’s clothes, linens, and sometimes family laundry (when necessary). Dishwashing: Cleaning dishes, kitchen counters, and ensuring kitchen areas are tidy. Organizing: Maintaining and organizing children’s toys, books, and other belongings. Errands: Doing grocery shopping on Mondays or picking up supplies (when necessary). This role often requires flexibility, as duties may vary based on the family’s specific needs.
