Community Inclusion Facilitator Part-time | Clayton Park, Halifax | $20/hour mileage & expenses I’m looking for someone to help me get out into my community and build a full, active and connected life. I’m a 23-year-old young man with autism and an intellectual disability, and I’m looking for an energetic, creative and outgoing Community Inclusion Facilitator to work alongside me. This isn’t a traditional caregiving role. I’m looking for someone who can help me create opportunities, make connections, build relationships and become more independent and included in my community. You don’t need previous experience in disability services. What matters most to me is finding someone with the right attitude, energy and approach. What You’ll Do Your role will be to get to know my interests, goals, strengths and ways of communicating, and help turn them into meaningful opportunities in the community. Together, we might explore:

• Recreation and fitness
• Volunteering or employment
• New interests and opportunities
• Ways for me to become more involved in places I already enjoy
• Opportunities to meet people and make introductions
• Ways to help relationships and natural connections develop

The goal isn’t simply to accompany me to activities. I want to become known, connected and included. I want to develop relationships, contribute to my community, find places where I belong and become increasingly independent. Students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. You might be studying recreation, kinesiology, education, psychology, social sciences, community development—or something completely different. You don’t need a particular credential or background in disability services. Who you are and how you approach people matters more. Hours Starting September 8, 2026, with a minimum commitment of two shifts per week: Weekdays: 8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and/or 1:00–6:00 p.m. Weekends: approximately 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Occasional additional shifts available Location & Pay Clayton Park, Halifax — near Dunbrack & Willett $20/hour mileage and activity-related expenses Requirements Valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check Most Importantly...
