Merck seeks a Key Account Manager for the Companion Animal Business Unit in Canada to develop and manage strategic veterinary accounts. The role involves building long-term client relationships, implementing account growth plans, and collaborating with internal teams across sales, marketing, and veterinary services.

Responsibilities

• Implement key account management model within companion animal unit accounts to drive engagement and growth
• Develop deep customer understanding and create differentiated value propositions for assigned accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with emerging and established key accounts; negotiate agreements and partnerships
• Provide targeted sales support during client visits, value-added program implementation, and commercial agreement execution
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business opportunities and demonstrate partnership value

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business management, or related field
• Proven experience in animal health product sales, key account management, or strategy implementation
• Demonstrated success managing accounts and building client relationships at multiple organizational levels
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to navigate complex, large-scale business negotiations
• Analytical capabilities with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Fluency in both French and English required
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time

Compensation: $81,280–$121,920 CAD base
