The Position: Project Manager

Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

People Management

• Provide direction and support to team members fostering collaboration and ensuring that everyone is working toward common objectives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the general foreperson stakeholders and clients ensuring that communication is clear timely and transparent.
• Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and expertise ensuring efficient task completion.
• Maintain and accuracy of all records and reports related to the performance of the crews operation.

Site Management

• Ensure the appropriate resources (personnel materials equipment) are available and allocated effectively throughout the project.
• Develop and manage the project budget ensuring costs remain within the agreed-upon limits.
• Make critical decisions on behalf of the project balancing time cost and quality requirements to keep the project moving forward.
• Create plans to manage timelines identified risks and quality control.
• Comply with applicable federal provincial and local laws rules and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience and Knowledge Expectations:

• Current ISA Certification and a minimum of 4-5 years experience leading tree trimming crews.
• Herbicide applicator or operators certification and license as required by Wright Tree Service of Canada and local provincial and federal law.
• Current Class 5 Drivers license with less than 6 demerits.
• Applicant must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Valid First-Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Basic knowledge of trees including identification growth habits and correct arboricultural techniques for the trimming pruning repairing maintaining and removing as applies to working in close proximity to energized conductors.
• Knows and understands the American National Standards for Tree Care Operations (ANSI Z133.1-2000) and the American National Standards for Proper Pruning (ANSI A300).
• Understanding of provincial and national occupational health and safety rules and guidelines.
• Experience with computers focusing on Microsoft Office products.
• Has a basic knowledge of electrical circuit and must be skilled in the reading and understanding of circuit maps.
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbal and in writing with the general public customers and fellow employees.
• Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays weekends storm work) and will be subject to call-out work.
