AIM Transportation Safety Compliance Specialist

American Iron & Metal (AIM)

Join American Iron & Metal as a Transportation Safety and Compliance Specialist, focusing on driver training and regulatory compliance in the Greater Montreal and Ottawa areas. Engage in shaping safe transport practices within the company. In this engaging role, you will train and advise both transport managers and drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies and road safety regulations. Monitor compliance through inspections and manage follow-ups concerning driver logbooks. You will play an important role in conducting road assessments, analyzing incidents, and providing solutions for improvement. Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a trainer for road safety regulations
Follow up on logbook compliance with transport managers
Collaborate on equipment compliance monitoring
Visit sites to ensure quality work by drivers
Analyze transportation incidents for safety enhancement

Requirements:

Valid Class 1 FM license; knowledge of dangerous goods
Experience in relevant transportation roles
Strong grasp of SAAQ regulations
Bilingual proficiency in French and English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
