Cooper Roofing is hiring an experienced Flat Roofer to complete small to mid-sized commercial and residential roofing projects. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in detailed craftsmanship, communicates professionally, and wants to work in a structured, supportive environment.

You will be trusted to complete and lead high-quality flat roofing installations while maintaining clean, safe, and efficient job sites. Rather than working on massive production projects, you will focus on manageable jobs where attention to detail and quality workmanship are valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete small to mid-sized flat roofing projects, including new installations and roof replacements.
• Install torch-on SBS two-ply roofing systems.
• Install coverboard, insulation, and slope packages.
• Lead, support, and train crew members on job sites.
• Review project details and coordinate schedules with the production team.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized, and professional job sites.
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining Cooper Roofing's quality standards.
• Communicate professionally with team members, customers, and project stakeholders.
• Inspect completed work and address quality concerns when required.
• Properly use and maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures, fall-protection requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications

Required:

• At least five years of experience installing torch-on SBS flat roofing systems.
• Experience installing two-ply systems, coverboard, insulation, and slope packages.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to lead and train other roofing crew members.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to arrive at job sites on time.
• Professional and presentable appearance.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. 
• Valid British Columbia driver's licence with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work safely in a physically demanding, outdoor environment.
• Ability to travel to job sites throughout Vancouver and surrounding areas.

Preferred Assets:

• Experience installing single-ply roofing systems.
• Current Fall Protection Certification.
• Red Seal Roofing Certification.

Pay and Benefits

• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Pay: CA$35.00 - CA$55.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Eligible for performance-based efficiency bonuses in accordance with company incentive programs. 
• Overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate after 40 hours per week.

• Schedule: Full-time, generally Monday through Friday. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on project schedules and weather conditions.
