VMAC is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our VRP team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components that meet VMAC's quality and production standards.

As CNC Operator you will

• Be capable of working on manual Milling machines, Lathes, Drill presses and grinding equipment.
• Follow drawings when machining products.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and communicate bottlenecks with Supervisor.
• Improve efficiency and quality of machining processes and products.
• Keep work area clean and organized, implement and maintain 5S organization.
• Follow the production schedule and prioritize daily work accordingly.
• Work/Cross Train on multiple CNC Machines.
• Understand and follow the “Kanban” type systems in current use.
• Capable of measuring to tight tolerances using a variety of measuring devices.
• Complete Dimensional Inspection reports.
• Perform regular maintenance on machines.
• Other duties as required.

What you bring

• Secondary school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred work experience or post-Secondary related education in CNC Turning and/or Machining Centers.
• Assertive self-starter and excellent work ethic.
• Excellent written English and verbal communication skills.
• High energy level with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
• Able to raise or lower an object (up to 50lbs) from one level to another.
