Registration Records Officer Healthcare

Support patient registration and health records at North York General across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services. Use medical terminology and accurate keyboarding daily.

As a Registration and Records Officer, you will maintain secure patient records and support registration in Cerner. The full-time temporary assignment lasts three months, with eight-hour shifts across days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Your work supports patient care, research, audits, and the Hospital’s academic mandate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register patients and document information for hospital use
• Retrieve and process charts for discharged patients
• Assemble charts and complete final quantitative analysis
• Audit charts and processes for ongoing quality
• File and retrieve records for care, research, and audits

Requirements:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma required
• Medical terminology knowledge required
• Forty-five words-per-minute accurate keyboarding skills
• Microsoft Office skills required for the job
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
