Senior Finance Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Canadian technology and software group, a dynamic portfolio company within a well-established TSX listed parent. Key responsibilities and oversight
- Lead financial reporting and management reporting for a portfolio of high-growth software businesses ($20m–$30m net revenue).
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, including the Portfolio CEO and CTO, to provide strategic financial insights and challenge assumptions.
- Support operational efficiency initiatives, including process improvements and analysis.
- Manage acquisition accounting and purchase price allocation (PPA) processes, supporting M&A activities.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Lead a team of 5–6 finance professionals, including offshore resources.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and assist in revenue recognition, acquisition accounting, and related technical accounting areas.
The company is offering a strong compensation package including an attractive base salary, and annual performance bonus. Full remuneration details to be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.
The successful candidate will possess the following
- CPA designation with public accounting experience, ideally within financial reporting, statement preparation, and management reporting.
- Proven experience in working with IFRS, revenue recognition, acquisition accounting, and M&A integration.
- Strong leadership skills with management experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to interact effectively with executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting strategic growth initiatives.
- Experience working with publicly traded companies is preferred but not mandatory.
- Technically proficient with a solid understanding of IFRS standards, revenue recognition, and acquisition accounting.
