Shipping Associate

• $23.35/hr to start → $23.65 at 3 months → $23.95 at 6 months
• ➕ $1.00/hr afternoon shift premium
• ⏰ 40-45 hour work week | Overtime pay after 42 hrs 
• Straight afternoon shift (3:45 PM - 1:15 AM)
• Initial 2-week training period on dayshift (6:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• RRSP program with 4% company match on bi‑weekly pay
• Cross‑training opportunities & skill‑based pay increases

Job Description

North Star Windows & Doors is seeking a highly motivated individual with a safety mindset and commitment to growth to join our Shipping team.

• Load product into the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner
• Load product on to trailers for customer deliveries in a safe, efficient and timely manner
• Comply with all material handing company policies and procedures
• Contribute to a safe, orderly and efficiently operating warehouse
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Perform general housekeeping duties including maintaining a clean work area

Qualifications

• Repetitive heavy lifting required.
• Extensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting, and walking.
• Use of small hand tools, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing and able to be trained in the use of our computer system.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, responsible and safety conscious.
• Order Picker or Forklift experience is an asset.
