Position: Kitchen General Utility Worker
Location: Bishop’s University
2600 College Street, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1Z7
Salary: Starting at $17.00/hour, to be discussed during the interview
Schedule: Various shifts available, including days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends. Schedule details will be discussed during the interview.
Start Date: Immediate
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with general food preparation in the kitchen.
- Prepare workstations and ingredients for service.
- Participate in meal service operations.
- Ensure proper food rotation and storage practices.
- Assist with receiving and putting away orders.
- Clean and maintain service areas.
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure portion sizes meet requirements and that food quality complies with Aramark standards.
- Support the implementation of food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and health programs.
- Participate in the general upkeep and cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Follow all established safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation is an asset.
- Experience in food service or the restaurant industry.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Customer service oriented.
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset, as some of our customers are English-speaking.

The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and, where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check. Employment with Aramark is contingent upon results deemed satisfactory by Aramark.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
