Remote Camp First Cook

Remote camp cooking requires scratch preparation, flavor knowledge, and flexibility for changing meal times at Kettle Camp. This is a fly-in, fly-out assignment.
As First Cook with Sodexo, you prepare meals, box lunches, dinners, and snacks for camp crews. You supervise kitchen staff and housekeepers while supporting daily remote-site operations. The role includes scheduling work, maintaining inventory records, ordering supplies, and using Net Menu, IMS, and HACCP requirements. A 21/7 rotation applies, with hours varying according to service needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare scratch-cooked meals, box lunches, dinners, and snacks
- Supervise kitchen staff and housekeepers during daily operations
- Train and guide staff on duties and training requirements
- Schedule and assign daily work activities
- Maintain inventory records and order required supplies
Requirements:
- Previous camp cooking experience
- Food safety or food handling certificate
- Understanding of flavor profiles and scratch cooking
- Computer skills using Word, Excel, and email
- Physical ability to lift and stand for extended periods
