Extendicare Brampton Assistant Director Role

Join Extendicare Brampton as an Assistant Director of Care, leading nursing operations at a 150-bed long-term care home in Ontario. Focus on quality improvement and resident care. As a full-time Assistant Director, you report to the Director of Care, supporting nursing excellence and compliance with regulatory standards. Your role will involve coordinating best practices in resident care and mentoring staff. You will also manage nursing supplies and often oversee care assessments and evaluations. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives
• Coordinate resident care management and risk strategies
• Manage nursing supplies effectively and efficiently
• Provide mentorship within Resident Home Areas
• Oversee palliative care program initiatives

• Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• At least three years’ experience in long-term care
• Familiarity with RAI MDS required
• Strong leadership and organizational capabilities
• Excellent communication and computer skills
