Finance Manager (CAPEX)

About the job

We are looking for a Finance Manager (Capex) for an exciting opportunity with us at Give and Go! In this position you will be responsible to oversee the planning, analysis and management of company's Capital expenditures (Capex). Collaborating closely with various departments to ensure that capital investments align with company's strategic objectives while optimizing the allocation of financials resources as well as ensuring compliance with policies and standards related to end-to-end capex process.

Job Overview:

Capex Budgeting :

• Develop and manage the annual capital expenditure budget as well as project capex captured in Long Term Plan (LTP). working closely with department heads to identify and prioritize projects.

Reporting and Compliance :

• Prepare periodical comprehensive Capex reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, summarizing project status, budget utilization, and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financials regulations (including SOX), and company policies in all Capex activities.
• Design and implement internal control processes as it relates to Capex.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all Capex-related financial data and documentation.
• Compile monthly/YTD actual spend and forecasts summary of each of the key projects including tracking of project schedule, budget comparison and key actions items.
• Identify opportunities to streamline Capex processes and improve efficiency in managing Capex.
• Develop and manage the Capex training agenda on ongoing basis including leading the charge of building training material, imparting training, and dealing with Q&A.

Project Evaluation:

• Work with inter departmental teams in identifying project cash flows and providing support in calculating key metrics for small, mid-sized and large projects.
• Create financial models to assess the feasibility of capital projects, including IRR, Payback and NPV analysis. Provide recommendations based on financial assessments.
• Evaluate and rank capital project proposals working with cross-functional teams, considering both financial and strategic criteria.
• Track changes (vs. budget) for the approved capital projects, quantify the financial impact on KPIs and document the changes as per process.
• Prepare and present project KPIs to leadership team with sensitivities, scenario analysis and impact of change in key assumptions.
• Engage senior management and collaborate with business leaders to execute goals and to improve the quality of deliverables.

Communications:

• Produce high quality output material (including preparing and presenting the information deck) to communicate the findings of analysis and recommended solutions to multiple stakeholders, senior management and Board of Directors for effective business decision making.

Recipe for Success:

• Bachelor' degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (eg: CPA) preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and capital expenditure management, preferably in a managerial role.
• CPA, CA, CBV or CFA
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, accounting concepts, US GAAP, IFRS, best practices as well as proven track record of implementing the knowledge
• Must have exceptional skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Must have experience leading cross functional teams and influencing leaders
• Results oriented to lead the change process and plan creation under tight time constraints autonomously
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Strong business acumen/decision making skills to review research/data and translate that into actionable insight
• Manage several deadlines/deliverables in an unstructured environment
• Strong understanding of Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) methodology, IRR and Payback concepts
• Background of in-depth financial analysis; demonstrated ability to analyze and draw insights from information and convey complex information in a straightforward manner
