Manager Of Cyber Security Operations & Engagement St John's (St. John's)

Join the Office of the Chief Information Officer as a Manager of Cyber Security in Newfoundland and Labrador and protect vital government information against evolving threats. Oversee risk management, incident readiness, and enhance engagement initiatives. You will take the lead in managing security operations, driving awareness, and building crucial networks within departments.
The role involves significant responsibility in both incident handling and fostering secure practices across government. Your leadership will improve governance and expand cyber security capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily cyber security operations and incident response
- Develop programs to enhance cyber security awareness
- Manage risk assessments aligned with best practices
- Foster collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee educational outreach and engagement effectiveness
Requirements:
- Relevant post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
- Significant and progressive experience in cyber security
- Effective operation in multi-stakeholder environments
- Leadership experience in public sector cyber roles is an asset
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and on-call
Play a crucial role in shaping the cyber security setting across the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
