Job Description

As a First Cook in a private school cafeteria, reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the proper and timely preparation of meals including, but not limited to, food service & food safety.
Your work will include:
- Always maintaining a clean kitchen and food storage areas.
- Preparing high-quality, nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch) according to the client scheduling and within the menu plan and budget guidelines.
- Being flexible and responding to client needs and food preferences as necessary.
- Adhering to all Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Safe Food Handling/Health Unit regulations.
- Adhering to all relevant Dexterra and Campus policies and procedures.
- Managing inventory.
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Willingness to learn
- Catering experience
- Minimum 2 years’ demonstrated experience in a Cook position
- Level 1 Food Safe Certificates
- Class 5 Driver License
