Commissioning Manager

The Commissioning Manager will report to the President. He/she is responsible for leading and coordinating all commissioning and start-up activities for APG-Neuros systems, ensuring successful installation, start-up, and transition to normal operations. The role manages and develops internal and third-party field service personnel, oversees commissioning planning and documentation, and ensures teams have the technical knowledge and training required to support customers effectively.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop internal and third-party field service personnel, managing their skills, availability, documentation, and deployment.
• Conduct site assessments and installation inspections, providing detailed reports to Project Management and Aftermarket teams.
• Support Project Managers in developing comprehensive start-up plans.
• Review and approve Installation and Commissioning plans, procedures, and required release forms before customer issuance.
• Maintain technicians’ expertise through training with OEMs, third-party integrators, and internal Engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain commissioning documentation and ensure its proper use by the commissioning team.
• Perform and oversee commissioning of AAC systems, 1MW systems, and other critical applications.
• Advise customers on aeration control strategies, monitor system performance, identify technical issues, and support new project development.
• Gather customer O&M feedback, support Engineering with design improvements, and develop and deliver customer O&M training.
• Travel to job sites as required (10–25%), meet regularly with the team for communication and training, and manage team selection within senior management guidelines.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, or bachelor’s degree in any applicable engineering field (e.g. mechanical, electrical, etc.);
• Proficient written and spoken English, French is an asset;
• Knowledge of turbomachinery, testing, electrical and controls are assets;
• Excellent communication, presentation and teamwork skills;
• Strong attention to details, capacity to self-learn and consistent proactivity;
• Advanced computer knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Advanced knowledge of Salesforce is an asset
• Advanced knowledge of ERP (Epicor being a plus) is an asset;
