We are looking for a highly technical Creative Designer with expertise in digital print prepress, colour management, and print production workflows. Important: This Is Not a Traditional Graphic Design Role This is a highly technical prepress and print production position focused on preparing customer artwork for successful digital print production. While design skills are valuable, the primary focus of this role is file preparation, colour management, print production workflows, and troubleshooting complex artwork and output challenges. Candidates seeking a traditional graphic design position may find this role is not the right fit. We are looking for an experienced prepress professional who understands how files move from concept to finished printed product and takes pride in delivering production-ready work with exceptional accuracy. What You Will Be DoingPrepress & File PreparationPreflight customer files to ensure production readiness.Review fonts, image resolution, colour spaces, overprints, transparencies, bleeds, trim marks, dielines, and finishing requirements.Troubleshoot and repair problematic files.Prepare artwork for digital print, signage, packaging, labels, apparel, and specialty applications.Perform imposition, nesting, step-and-repeat, and file optimization.Colour ManagementManage colour-critical workflows using CMYK, RGB, Pantone, spot colours, white ink, metallics, and specialty finishes.Calibrate and maintain colour consistency across multiple output devices.Produce proofs and verify colour accuracy.Make colour corrections and adjustments to meet customer expectations.Production SupportConfigure jobs through Digital Front Ends such as EFI Fiery, ONYX, Caldera, or similar workflow systems.Support production teams with technical troubleshooting.Prepare files for digital presses, large format printers, flatbed equipment, roll-to-roll devices, and specialty production systems.Collaborate closely with production staff to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery.Customer SupportReview customer artwork and specifications.Consult with customers regarding print production requirements.Recommend file improvements, substrates, finishing options, and production methods.Participate in proof approvals and project setup.What You BringRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in digital print production, prepress, or print imaging.Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.Strong knowledge of PDF workflows and print production standards.Experience working with EFI Fiery or similar DFE software.Advanced understanding of:Colour managementICC profilesPantone matchingDigital print productionSmall and large format printing technologiesExceptional attention to detail and quality control.Preferred QualificationsExperience with ONYX, Caldera, Enfocus PitStop, Quite Imposing, or workflow automation software.Experience preparing files for signage, vehicle wraps, wall graphics, packaging, labels, retail displays, and specialty print applications.Experience operating digital print equipment.Knowledge of variable data printing (VDP).You AreHighly technical and analytical.Passionate about print quality and colour accuracy.A problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting complex file issues.Detail-oriented and organized.Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.A strong communicator who collaborates effectively with customers and production teams.Commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility & Anti-RacismTPH is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is respected and valued for their contributions and has opportunity to grow and develop.
