Day in the Life
Get ready to roll up your sleeves and jump into the fast-paced world of construction as a General Labourer. Working alongside experienced crews, you’ll support a variety of tasks on paving and concrete projects, helping keep operations running smoothly and safely day-to-day.
From assisting with site setup and preparation to moving materials, supporting equipment operators, and maintaining clean and organized work areas, no two days are the same. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with tools, learning construction processes, and contributing to projects that improve the communities we serve.
Safety will always be your top priority, including:
- Participating in required safety training and daily safety activities
- Wearing PPE and following all site protocols
- Staying alert to potential hazards and supporting a strong safety culture
Whether you’re helping prepare surfaces, supporting paving or concrete work, or performing general site duties, you’ll be an important part of a hardworking team that takes pride in doing the job right.
This is seasonal work and typically begins from the end of April and goes until the middle of December.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset
- 1–2 years of experience in construction, general labour, or site maintenance is preferred
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50 lbs or more)
