Nanny Wanted - Long Term Nanny Housekeeper For Infant Twins. Career Role, $30/Hr, Toronto

We are a values-driven, intercultural family with fraternal twins (boy and girl, approximately 12 months at start) seeking a nanny-housekeeper who wants to grow with our family for years to come. Both parents work from home and travel regularly for work. We are looking for someone warm, reliable, safety-focused, and genuinely invested in our children's development — not just for this stage, but for every stage ahead. This role will evolve as the children grow: from infant and toddler care to preschool enrichment, school logistics, and extracurricular support. The household management piece fills the gaps when the children are napping, at activities, or otherwise occupied — child care is always the first priority. We prioritise punctuality, attentiveness, and excellent common-sense judgment, and we value someone who aligns with our home's culture of compassion, curiosity, and respect — committed to supporting safe and secure attachment in our children. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional weekends at your discretion. Start date: second week of August 2026 in Toronto (initial location TBD; family expects to relocate within the city within the first few months).

CHILD CARE — FIRST PRIORITY

Preparing age-appropriate meals, snacks, and lunches from scratch following dietary and allergen guidance. All feeding responsibilities and dish management. Getting children dressed and ready each morning. Sunscreen before outdoor time. Bathing daily or as directed. Regular grooming including nail trimming. Vitamins and medications as needed. Nap management using responsive, secure-attachment-informed soothing; supporting the quiet-time transition as naps are dropped. Toilet training support when the time comes. Enforcing consistent boundaries and house rules. Daily developmental play: sensory activities, reading, outdoor exploration, imaginative play, and age-appropriate learning. Tracking feeds, naps, and observations. Abiding by our screen and digital media guidelines, including protecting the privacy of children digitally. As the children grow: school and activity drop-off/pick-up and communication with teachers and instructors. HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT — WHEN CHILDREN ARE OCCUPIED OR SLEEPING Full household laundry for the entire family: wash, hang delicates, fold, put away; dry cleaning drop-off and pick-up as needed. Maintaining kitchen cleanliness between weekly deep cleans. Maintaining bathroom tidiness between weekly deep cleans. Grocery shopping and household errands as needed. Restocking and proactively flagging low supplies. Keeping a running household needs list. Emptying bins and managing waste throughout the home.

TRAVEL

We travel occasionally for work and may invite you to join us — always at your discretion, availability asked first, never assumed. Travel compensated at your standard hourly rate with all flights, accommodation, and meals covered. When the family travels and you are not needed, those days are paid and do not count against your vacation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Native or fluent English speaker, Clear, articulate diction, and Strong verbal communication skills. Extensive infant/toddler experience; twins or multiples strongly preferred. 5 years. Household management experience: meal prep, laundry, groceries, organisation. CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain. Valid driver's licence required; own vehicle an asset. Valid passport and ability to travel internationally. Clean background check. Reliable, punctual, organised, and proactive. Comfortable working in a home where parents are present. Professional references required — all will be contacted before hiring.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$30 CAD per hour. Payment via e-transfer or payroll (no cash). Paid Ontario statutory holidays. 5 paid sick days per year. 2 weeks paid vacation per year (mutually agreed timing, 1 month notice). Family travel days are paid and do not count against vacation. Travel with family: all expenses covered, standard rate applies.
