Shipping Coordinator

In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, preparing transportation documentation, and ensuring products are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. Working closely with operations, carriers, and customers, you will play a key role in supporting daily shipping activities, maintaining compliance, and helping keep freight moving efficiently, directly contributing to the success of our partner company.

Shipping Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Create and manage daily shipment schedules to support production and customer delivery requirements
• Coordinate the movement of goods by arranging carriers, confirming shipping methods, and monitoring deliveries
• Track shipments from pickup through delivery and provide updates on delivery status as required
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, customs paperwork, invoices, and transportation records
• Ensure all load-related documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with transportation regulations
• Support shipments requiring specialized documentation, including overweight or over-dimensional loads
• Maintain accurate records associated with shipments, correspondence, invoices, and receipts
• Work closely with operations and transportation providers to ensure efficient shipment planning and execution
• Provide feedback regarding customer concerns, delivery issues, or opportunities for process improvement
• Maintain shipping data and transportation records within company systems
• Ensure compliance with applicable transportation legislation, safety requirements, and company procedures

Shipping Coordinator Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination
• Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, construction materials, or transportation environment is preferred
• Hands-on experience preparing Bills of Lading, customs documentation, shipping records, and transportation paperwork
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, freight movement, weights and dimensions, and shipping best practices
• Experience supporting oversized, overweight, or specialized freight shipments is considered an asset
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and transportation or ERP systems
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field is preferred
• CITT (CCLP) or P.Log certification is considered an asset but not required
