A little description of the role…

The Growth team is on the hunt for a passionate and creative Web Developer. In this role, you will enhance our online presence through expert web development and front-end optimizations, as well as leading our technical SEO.

You'll collaborate with our Growth Engineer and Content team, Marketing team, and Graphic Designers to deliver seamless and high-performing web experiences.

WHO YOU ARE:

• You hold a degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

• You have 4+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining websites and can't wait to show off the cool websites and experiences you built.

• You are proficient in JavaScript and React for dynamic front-end development.

• You have a deep understanding of PHP, WordPress, and Webflows.

• You are proficient in HTML and CSS, and understand responsive design principles.

• You have experience using a scripting language (e.g., Python or equivalent).

• You demonstrated the ability to design and implement responsive web pages with great UX.

• You have strong SEO knowledge and have successfully worked on and led impactful SEO projects.

• You know how to leverage APIs for integrations and managing complex digital ecosystems.

• You have experience with web maintenance including performance optimization and security best practices.

• You have experience in tracking and analytics tools (e.g., Mix panel, Google Analytics)

• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.

• You have a strong work ethic, team player mentality, and comfort and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

• You have exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus if you…

• Have worked closely with a Growth or Marketing team

• Have technical curiosity and a desire for continuous learning.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;

• Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;

• Be willing to comply with Solink's own security policies and standards.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Develop and optimize web pages for our Marketing website and our Growth Marketing strategy, and ensure the scalability of our website.

• Enhance user experience through proficient use of JavaScript and React, focusing on dynamic and responsive front-end interactions, improving conversion rate along the way.

• Lead and implement technical SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and onsite performance.

• Maintain web standards for speed, stability and security to uphold a high-quality user experience.

• Drive web development projects pragmatically and maintain a clear focus on deadlines.

• Integrate APIs to connect new technologies and tools into the existing tech stack, enhancing functionality and user engagement.

• Manage the Quality Assurance (QA) process to ensure bug-free releases and updates.

• Collaborate closely with the Growth team including Engineering and Content, Marketing team, and Graphic Designers to ensure cohesive development and deployment of web projects.
