Become an Employment Associate Lawyer at a full-service law firm in downtown Ottawa. Provide comprehensive legal support and advice on various employment matters in a fast-paced, client-centric setting. Meridia Recruitment Solutions is collaborating with a trusted law firm to fill the Employment Associate Lawyer position. With 5–7 years of experience, you'll focus on advising clients regarding employment law, drafting essential documentation, and managing litigation files alongside senior counsel. Your strong legal knowledge and client service orientation will be key drivers of success in this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on employment law compliance and workplace standards
- Draft and refine employment agreements and policies
- Counsel clients on termination issues and employee rights
- Assist in litigation and preparation for hearings and boards
- Efficiently manage independent legal files while ensuring accuracy
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent
- Member of the Law Society of Ontario in good standing
- 5–7 years of expertise in employment law
- Proven experience in managing workplace-related disputes
- Excellent advisory and drafting capabilities
