Associate Quality Engineer - Point of Care (Ottawa)

Abbott seeks an Associate Quality Engineer for its Point of Care Diagnostics division in Ottawa. The role focuses on evaluating change controls, investigating quality variations, and ensuring equipment and processes maintain validated states. Four days on-site weekly required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate change control packages to maintain equipment, products, and process validation status
• Investigate unusual events, data variations, and sources of deviation during validations
• Document quality impact assessments and recommend corrective or preventive actions
• Collaborate with technical teams to identify and resolve qualification issues
• Prepare technical reports and quality documentation with strong attention to detail

Requirements

• Less than one year of engineering role experience
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Science with 3.0+ GPA
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience analyzing manufacturing and quality data for process improvements
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Co-op or internship experience in related field (asset)
• Proficiency in statistical software such as JMP, Minitab, or Excel (preferred)

Compensation: $59,250–$86,900 CAD annually
