Temporary Part-Time Registered Nurse Stratford

Join the Inpatient Surgical Unit in Stratford, ON as a Temporary Part-Time Registered Nurse. Utilize your surgical nursing skills and provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Surgical Unit. This part-time position requires a current member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and a BLS certificate. Ideal candidates will have experience in venepuncture, medication administration, fluid management, and demonstrated patient education skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate intravenous therapy and manage venepuncture
- Care for central venous/PIC lines and administer medications
- Monitor glucose levels and manage post-operative PCA pumps
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and TPN management
- Provide effective patient education and support
- Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BLS certification required
- Recent surgical nursing courses or in-services
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with enteral feeding and chest tube management
