Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends.

• Manage vendor relationships including negotiations contract management performance reviews and funding agreements.

• Analyze sales market share inventory and profitability data to identify opportunities and improve category performance.

• Lead assortment planning SKU rationalization product launches and planogram development.

• Develop pricing promotional and merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability.

• Collaborate with Marketing Supply Chain Finance Retail Operations and Sales teams to execute category plans.

• Monitor competitors industry trends and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities.

• Manage vendor funding rebates co-op programs and financial reporting related to assigned categories.

• Present category performance reviews and strategic recommendations to leadership.

• Retail banner support (Rexall Guardian IDA RemedysRx independent pharmacies etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Supply Chain or a related field.

• Approximately 5 years of category management merchandising purchasing or analytical experience for Category Manager/Specialist-level roles.

• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.

• Strong negotiation communication and vendor management skills.

• Experience in retail sales marketing or category management of HABA or OTC is an asset.

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational financial and analytic skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint and Excel.

• Must possess the right balance between being creative and paying attention to detail.

• Ability to work a fast paced and changing environment.

• Knowledge of related regulations.

• Demonstrated presentation and negotiation skills.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKessons pay philosophy and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
