Level II Certified Dental Assistant – Maternity Leave Coverage
Milltown Dental is looking for a friendly, dependable, and experienced Level II Certified Dental Assistant to join our team for temporary maternity-leave coverage beginning at the end of September 2026.
Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday: 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
- Alternating Saturdays: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Chairside assisting during a variety of dental procedures
- Taking dental radiographs
- Performing Level II duties within the assistant’s qualifications
- Preparing and turning over treatment rooms
- Following current IPAC and sterilization protocols
- Maintaining accurate and complete patient records
- Supporting patient comfort and explaining procedures when appropriate
- Assisting with inventory and other clinical responsibilities
- Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with the entire dental team
Required qualifications:
- NDAEB-certified Level II Dental Assistant
- HARP qualified
- Current CPR certification
- Strong understanding of Ontario IPAC requirements
- Excellent communication, organization and teamwork skills
- Dependable, professional and committed to providing an excellent patient experience
Previous dental assisting experience and familiarity with Dentrix would be considered assets.
This is a temporary maternity-leave position, with the possibility of continued employment depending on the needs of the practice.
