Insurance Advisor - Prairie Insurance Brokers

Job Description / Duties

• Foster long‑term customer relationships by providing value‑added services.
• Be the first point of contact for phone‑in or walk‑in customers, offering friendly and professional service.
• Manage Autopac transactions for walk‑in, phone and email requests.
• Proactively promote auto insurance extension products and services tailored to client needs (e.g., deductibles, liability).
• Write new habitational insurance policies (homeowners, tenants, condos, seasonal dwellings) in a timely and effective manner.
• Oversee account documentation, which encompasses routine inquiries, quotes, insurance contracts, endorsements, cancellations and additional tasks.
• Deliver prompt and precise responses to inquiries, addressing issues and providing solutions to fulfill client requirements.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge base of insurance products with our standard personal lines markets and Manitoba Public Insurance.
• Assist the Personal Lines Team with property evaluations, billing & payments, questionnaires and new business surveys.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and industry knowledge.

Qualifications / Required Skills

• Insurance experience is an asset.
• Minimum Level 1 General Insurance License – training provided.
• Proficient in Microsoft programs.
• Strong customer focus and proficient problem‑solving skills are necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
