Survey Programmer

The Survey Programmer is responsible for programming market research studies in the Forsta Surveys (Confirmit) platform, with the goal of meeting and exceeding client expectations around data integrity, timelines, and budget. This individual also develops and implements “out of the box” solutions as needed. The programmer contributes to overall department efficiency by following current best practices and helping to develop new ones. They will work closely with the other programmers and project managers and may work directly with clients on certain projects.

• Works to resolve amendments during quality assurance/client testing phase.

• Prepares surveys for deployment and sets up links to track progress in field.
• Resolves data issues in a timely and complete manner.
• Works with Data Processing to meet client delivery requirements, such as dashboards and specific data requirements.
• Spends time reporting and receiving information to and from their manager and continues to learn the latest technologies in the data collection field.

Your Experience

The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate:

• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
• Expert knowledge of Forsta Surveys (Confirmit Survey Designer / Professional Authoring) or another survey programming platform (e.g., Askia, Qualtrics) is required (minimum 3 years' experience). Experience with Decipher survey programming would be considered an asset.
• JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML programming knowledge.
• Python programming experience.
• Exceptional ability to multitask and balance multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Commitment to accuracy and integrity, doing it right the first time.
• Ingenuity and a willingness to learn new techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including an ability to “think outside the box”.
• Organized, self-motivated, and self-directed approach.
• Adherence to set processes and standards.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of React JS would be an added advantage.
• Experience working with online panel management.
• Experience of working with multilingual surveys.
• A good understanding of survey design and trends is advantageous (e.g. Conjoint, MaxDiff).
