Baycrest hospital is a 262 post-acute care hospital that provides Complex Continuing Care, Rehabilitation, Palliative Care, Mental Health and Behavioural Neurology Services.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Program Director, Neuropsychology & Cognitive Health, this position is responsible for providing clinical psychometry services under the supervision of a Clinical Neuropsychologist supporting the Sam and Ida Ross Memory Clinic. The student may attend rounds, seminars, and other learning opportunities in the Neuropsychology & Cognitive Health program and other Baycrest programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Administers standardized neuropsychological tests to clients with cognitive concerns and/or cognitive impairments
- Scores responses on neuropsychological tests and looks up normative data
- Documents behavioural observations from testing
- Manages and organizes individual client charts
- Maintains accurate records, safeguarding the confidentiality of clients
- Fulfills other tasks as assigned by the Program Director and/or supervising Clinical Neuropsychologist
Qualifications
- Completion or currently enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Health Sciences, or a related field
- Completed coursework in neuropsychology and psychological testing is preferred
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Detail oriented
- Highly motivated and open to learning
